Privacy Policy

Terms and conditions for weddings and events:
1) The Great Hall requires a minimum of 60 persons for the day and 120 for the evening event
2) All chair covers and sash’s required are to be supplied solely by The Mount Hotel
3) If an outdoor wedding is booked but is re-scheduled indoors due to bad weather, the cost
of the hire of chairs is non-refundable
4) A minimum of 90% of guests are to be catered for the evening event.
5) A wedding breakfast (minimum 3 courses), drinks package and evening buffet must be
chosen for all guests. Vegetarian selections are available and will be charged at the chosen
wedding breakfast cost.
6) Alternatively, if an evening buffet is not required, an additional room hire charge will apply.
7) Corkage or off site catering/supplies of any kind is not permitted.
8) A provisional booking may be made and held for 14 days without a deposit. If a provisional
booking is made less than three months before the event date, the provisional booking can
only be held for 7 days without deposit. A deposit of £1000.00 is required to confirm all
bookings. All deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable. The hotel has the right to
release all unconfirmed bookings once the provisional period has passed.
9) The 50% balance is due 3 months prior to the event date.
10) The full balance is to be settled 30 days prior to the event date.
11) In the event of cancellation, the following charges will apply:
Cancellation of confirmed booking – loss of deposit
Cancellation with less than 9 months notice – 50% of estimated total charge
Cancellation with less than 6 months notice – 75% of estimated total charge
Cancellation with less than 3 months notice – 100% of estimated total price
Estimated total charge will be confirmed guests x wedding breakfast, drinks package and
evening buffet. All prices include VAT @ 20%.
12) Final numbers and menus must be confirmed at least 30 days prior to the event.
13) All additional sundries must be paid on departure.
14) The hirer must pay for loss or damage to any part of the Hotel, including any fixtures,
fittings and equipment, caused by the hirer or any of their guests. All breakages and
damages to hotel property will be charged at replacement cost plus 20%.
15) All deliveries of equipment need to be confirmed with the hotel beforehand. The
Mount Hotel will not accept any deliveries that have not been pre-arranged, or that are
unacceptably earlier or later than a pre-arranged time (e.g. wedding supplies, outside DJ)
16) Any entertainment that is not arranged by The Mount Hotel must provide a Public
Liability License.
17) Entertainment must finish by 1am.
18) Pyrotechnics and smoke machines are not permitted.
19) All items belonging to the bridal party must be collected within 24 hours from the Mount
Hotel or be subject to a storage charge of £50.00 per day.
20) The Mount Hotel accepts no liability for any goods left on the premises before, during or
after the event.
21) The Mount Hotel staff will not be liable for any loss or damage to the property of the
client or guests (e.g. gifts or wedding accessories).
Terms and conditions for accommodation:
Our cancellation policy is by 12:00pm on the day of arrival. In the event of a cancellation after this time or in the case of a non arrival, then the full room rate will be charged.
